Vinyasa

Vinyasa is an energising, powerful and peaceful blend all in one class where mindful movement and rhythmic breathing come together. The practice is designed to be a holistic mixture between strength and flexibility with an emphasis to refine and align the movement to ensure safety and longevity. It is in essence a moving meditation to perfectly balance your body, mind & spirit to find harmony within. 

 

Hatha

Hatha is a practice with a slower tempo than Vinyasa and with more static posture. It is a practise designed to build strength and stamina for both the body and the mind. Those who are new to yoga will be educated on alignment, whilst at the same time, more experienced practitioners will appreciate the refinement and detail at a slower pace.

 

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slower paced form of yoga where postures are hold for a longer period and a complementary form of yoga. This practice addresses to moderately stress and thereby release tension and in the yin tissues of our body also referred to as the fibrous connective tissues or fascia. The application of stress stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid aiding lubrication and suppleness of these tissues. The reason why someone want to practice yin yoga is for physical and psychological health benefits. Another psychophysical benefit is that yin yoga improves the immune system and the overall wellbeing of our everyday experience by calming our nervous system through alternating the way we breathe.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing. It’s benefit includes amongst a relaxed body and mind, improved sleep, enhances mood, gentle on the body and reduces chronic pain.

Meditation and Mindfulness Classes

Guided Meditation and mindfulness classes to settle the nervous system by observing our mind, thoughts, images, feelings presented with a loving embrace around the content of our mind.  It’s a training to be aware and present to our thoughts and feelings rather than getting rid of them without judgment to ultimately break free from unhelpful patterns . And eventually, you may start to better understand them as well and befriend yourself.
